MY STORY
Los Angeles native Jonathan Osorio also known as Drivr is a producer, dj and event creator. Music was not always a big part of his life, his other passion is automotive sports until a dangerous accident while drifting his 91 Miata made him shift his attention to music. He has been creating music and throwing backyard parties since 2009. Seven years later he made his first appearance at the historic Globe Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, as a resident Dj with Club House Events.
With the influence of latin, hip pop, trance, hardstyle and classical music he creates a unique blend of house and techno. Bringing drums that call your soul forward, melodies that set your heart on fire and that underlying driving techno beat. With a wide range of organic instruments bringing you a full balanced musical journey.
As a resident Dj with Club House Events, he developed skills as a sound engineer and event coordinator. Which supported the creation of his own podcast Universe Drifters curating events from the city to the beach.
In 2018 he collaborated with Craig and Viki the co-founders of Dopamine Dance Movement in Santa Monica as a resident Dj and being the lead sound engineer. Together they created sober dance events in Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach. During the pandemic, they created House On Venice, a free open space event in the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Playing strictly House Music and creating positive vibes.
In 2021 he began collaborating with Intentional Vibez and creating magical experiences in Venice Beach with the same concept as before yet with an open format style. These where some wild events that had people dancing on rooftops and some events got shut down by the police
In July 2021 he focused his attention to Mexico and moved to Tulum. Expanding as an artist whith a residency at Mercado Centauro. Collaborating as a promoter with up and coming underground event collective Kinich Ahau and 3rd Eye Sound Tribe. Through the influence of his Quantum Transformation work the impulse came to create meditation frequencies and so the birth of meditation production came to life. Where the decision came to move to Merida in the state of Yucatan, there he expanded as a transformational curator. Leading events at La Casona Hostel a holistic center, with the intention of most travelers to have transformational experiences Jonathan thrived in using his tools as a musician and trainer.
February 2022 he moved to the state of Oaxaca in Mexico, where he performed throughout the west coast. From Zipolite Beach to Mazunte Beach and Puerto Escondido.
June 2022, a time to return to Los Angeles and collaborate with djs that are considered friends. Then making another life changing decision to move to another state.
Now in 2023 his residence is in Boise, Idaho. Hills, rivers, and snow are the setting for new possibilities as he adapts and coexists with this new environment. Focusing his attention in mastering his dj skills, the experience he has in throwing parties in backyards to the city to the desert to the beach and to the jungle, create the possibility for this man's unique ability to transform any space into another world.
